Terms of service
Effective November 1, 2026. FixGuru is a service of CurrencyWiki Technologies LLC. Questions: [email protected].
These are the rules for using fixguru.com and for every job we do. They are written to be read, not skimmed. If anything here is unclear, ask before you place a hold.
1. Who we are
FixGuru is a website repair service operated by CurrencyWiki Technologies LLC, 122 15th St #431, Del Mar, CA 92014, United States. "We", "us" and "our team" mean that company and the people under its direct control who do the work, in the United States and bound by its confidentiality obligations. "You" means the person or business placing a job.
2. What a job is
Each fix on our price list has a written definition of "fixed", shown on the service page and on your job page before any hold is placed. That definition is the scope of the job and the test of whether it is done. Nothing outside it is included, and we do not charge for anything outside it either. For a custom quote, the scope is the text of the quote you accept.
We may decline a job before starting it, for example when the site hosts something unlawful, when the problem is outside what we do, or when a server is compromised beyond what a cleanup can honestly fix. A declined job releases the hold and you pay nothing.
3. How paying works
- When you place a job, Stripe authorizes the price on your card. It shows as pending on your statement. It is a hold, not a charge, and we never hold your money ourselves.
- We charge the card only when you approve the fix, or automatically five days after we deliver it if you do not respond, after reminders on day one and day three. The Guarantee policy spells out the clocks.
- If we cannot fix it, the hold is released and you pay nothing. You keep the diagnosis.
- We never charge more than the held amount. If the work turned out smaller than the job you placed, we may charge less, and the reason is written on your job page.
- Card authorizations expire after seven days. If a job runs that long, we ask you to re-authorize; if you do not, the hold lapses and nothing is charged.
4. What we need from you
- You confirm that you own the website or are authorized by its owner to give us access to it, and to the hosting, domain, email and payment accounts involved. We record that confirmation with the time and your IP address; see Access authorization.
- The information you give us about the site is accurate as far as you know.
- You keep your own backups. We take a copy or a record of what we are about to change before we change it, but we are not your backup service.
- When the job closes, you change any password you shared with us. Your job page shows you where.
- You do not ask us to do anything unlawful, to access a site you have no right to, or to deceive a third party.
5. Our access to your systems
Access is granted by you, item by item, on your job page, and every item is temporary. We prefer keys, invites and scoped tokens over passwords. Passwords go only into the encrypted vault, every time our team opens one is shown to you with the time and address, and vault items are destroyed 72 hours after the job closes. When a job closes we remove our own access first and the report records when. You can revoke any access at any time from your side.
We use the access only for the job you placed. We do not look at, copy or keep anything that is not needed for it, and we do not install anything you did not agree to.
We do not pass your access to anyone outside our team, and we do not outsource the work. Our team is the people under our direct control and bound by our confidentiality obligations, never a marketplace, agency or outside contractor. Every sign-in with your access is recorded on your job page with the time and address it came from.
6. What we promise, and what we do not
We promise to do the job as defined, within the stated time counted from the moment access works, and to fix it again at no charge if the same problem returns within the guarantee period. Those promises are in the Guarantee policy and they are the whole of our warranty.
We do not promise that a website will never break again, that a different problem will not appear, that third parties such as hosts, registrars, Google, Stripe or Cloudflare will behave, or that a fix will survive changes made afterwards by you or by someone else. The free site check, the help pages and the report we write for your job are information, not a security audit or a certification, and not advice tailored to anything beyond the job.
Your site is already broken, slow or compromised when we arrive. We are not responsible for loss that happened before you granted access or that the underlying problem caused, such as data that malware had already deleted, rankings already lost, or an account your host had already suspended. A cleanup removes what we find and closes the way in that we identify; no cleanup can certify that nothing was left behind, which is why the reopen guarantee for a cleanup is the longest we offer.
Repairing a live website means changing it, and a change can have side effects. We take a copy or a record of each thing before we change it. If a change of ours breaks something that worked, putting it back from that copy is part of the job and costs nothing. That is the remedy for a change that went wrong, alongside the guarantee.
7. Limits on our liability
If something we did causes you a loss, our total liability for that job is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost sales, lost data you had not backed up, or loss of reputation. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
8. Approval, and raising a problem
Approving the fix, or the automatic approval on day five, confirms the job as delivered and done. It does not waive the reopen guarantee, which runs from that approval. If you believe something we did caused you a loss, tell us within the guarantee period for that job, so we can look while the cause can still be established. After that, changes by you, your host or others make it impossible to tell what caused what, and the job is closed.
9. Your responsibility to us
If a claim is made against us because of what your site contains or does, because you granted access you had no right to grant, or because of something unlawful you asked us to do, you cover the cost of that claim, including reasonable legal fees. This is the mirror of our own responsibility for our work under section 7.
10. Third-party services
Your hosting company, registrar, Cloudflare, Stripe, Google and the other services your site depends on have their own terms, and those apply to your accounts with them. We work inside those accounts under the access you grant and are not responsible for their outages, limits, fees or decisions, including a host suspending, restoring or deleting an account for reasons of its own.
11. Your account
You sign in with Google, Apple or a code sent to your email. Keep that email account secure; anyone who controls it can see your jobs. You can close your account by emailing us. We keep the financial record of past jobs as the law requires and remove your personal details from it; see the Privacy policy.
12. Our content
The text, design, code and the FixGuru name and mark on this site belong to CurrencyWiki Technologies LLC. The FixGuru Access WordPress plugin is released under the GPL and you may use it under that license. Reports we write for your job are yours to keep and use.
13. Disputes
If you have a problem with a job, tell us first: [email protected]. We will try to resolve it informally within 30 days, and the Guarantee and Refund policies give you clear remedies before anything gets that far. If we cannot resolve it, these terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any claim is brought in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California. There is no arbitration clause and no class-action waiver in these terms.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top is the version in force; a job is governed by the version in force when its hold was placed, which is recorded on the job. If a change matters to open jobs we tell you by email.
15. The rest
If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms, the service page definition of fixed for your job, the Guarantee, Refund and Privacy policies and the Access authorization are the whole agreement between us for a job.
