Guarantee policy

Effective November 1, 2026. FixGuru is a service of CurrencyWiki Technologies LLC. Questions: [email protected].

Held, fixed, approve. Your card is held when you place the job, charged only when you approve the fix, and never charged if it is not fixed. This page is the exact version of that promise, including the clocks and the edge cases.

The hold

Placing a job authorizes the price on your card through Stripe. It appears as pending on your statement. Nothing is charged at that point, and we never hold your money ourselves. If we cannot fix the problem, the authorization is cancelled and the pending amount disappears from your statement within a few days, depending on your bank.

The two clocks

The clock pauses while we are waiting on you: an access item that fails, a question you have not answered, a decision only you can make. Your job page shows "Waiting on you" and the time, so there is no argument later about who was waiting for whom.

If we miss the deadline

Your job page shows it plainly, and you get a one-click choice: release the hold and pay nothing, keeping whatever we found so far, or let us finish. Nobody has to ask for this; the button appears on its own.

Review and approval

  1. When the fix is done you get the report by email and on your job page, with Approve and Not fixed buttons.
  2. Approve charges the card for the held amount, or less if the work turned out smaller. Not fixed sends the job back to us with your note, and the hold stays a hold.
  3. If we do not hear from you, we remind you on day 1 and day 3 after delivery. On day 5 the job is approved automatically and the card is charged. The date is shown on the job page and in every reminder.

Auto-approval exists because a card authorization cannot stay open forever. It is fair only because of the reopen guarantee below, which runs from the approval date whether you clicked it or not.

The reopen guarantee

If the same problem comes back within 14 days of approval, reopen the job from your job page and we fix it again at no charge. For a hacked-site cleanup the window is 30 days, because reinfection is the thing people fear most. If we cannot fix it the second time, we refund the job in full.

The guarantee covers the problem described in your job's definition of fixed. It does not cover a different problem, a problem caused by changes made after delivery by you or someone else, or your host, registrar or another provider changing something on their side. When it is unclear whether a return is the same problem, we look at it before deciding, and we tell you what we found either way.

Holds that run long

Stripe cancels an uncaptured card authorization after 7 days. Jobs finish well inside that. If one does run long, usually because access took days to arrive, we email you on day 6 with a link to re-authorize. If you do not, the hold lapses on day 7 and nothing is charged; you can start the job again whenever you are ready.
